Product parameters

Power supply: Rated voltage 20... 35 V DC (powered by Power Rail or terminal), power dissipation approximately 1.5 W, maximum power consumption ≤ 2 W, ripple ≤ 50 µA rms.

Input (control side) : Connect terminals 1+ and 2-; 4+, 5-, input signal 4... 20 mA, load ≥ 100 kΩ, accuracy 0.05%.

Function

The 4... of the safe area The 20mA analog input signal is isolated and converted into a current output for the hazardous area, supporting independent operation of 2 channels.

Supports HART protocol bidirectional communication, with an internal 250 Ω resistor to ensure digital signal compatibility, suitable for I/P converters and valve positioners.

It provides line fault detection (LFD) to detect open circuit or short circuit faults and display the status through LED indicator lights for easy monitoring.

Intrinsically safe design, accuracy up to 0.05%, fast response (rise time 50 µs), supports Power Rail system integration.

Equipped with test point terminals, compatible with functional safety applications (SIL 2), easy to install and maintain.

Application scenarios

KFD2-SCD2-Ex2.LK is widely used in process automation in industries such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, mining and oil refining, and is suitable for explosive hazardous areas in Zone 0/1/2 or Div.1/2. It is used to drive actuators in hazardous areas, such as valve positioners or I/P converters, to ensure that control systems in safe areas (such as PLCS or DCS) reliably transmit analog signals, while also supporting HART diagnosis and fault detection. The equipment complies with ATEX, IECEx and cULus certifications, and is suitable for industrial control systems that require high-precision output and safety isolation.
