Product parameters

Power supply specification: Input voltage 20-30V DC, maximum current consumption 35mA (about 25mA when no load).

Input characteristics: Supports 1 NAMUR sensor (such as proximity switch, photoelectric sensor) input, with a maximum input current of 8mA (@24V DC), and has the function of wire breakage (LB) monitoring.

Output characteristics: Outputs 2 PNP switch signals, with a maximum output current of 100mA and a short-circuit protection current of approximately 150mA.

Isolation performance: Enhanced insulation between input/output/power supply, isolation voltage 1.5kV AC (1 minute), in compliance with IEC/EN 61010-1 standard.

Environmental adaptability: Operating temperature -20 ℃ to 60℃, storage temperature -40 ℃ to 85℃, relative humidity 95% (no condensation), protection grade IP20.

Certification: Complies with ATEX and IECEx intrinsic safety certifications (Ex ia IIC T6 Ga), and has passed CE and UL certifications.

Function

Intrinsic safety isolation: Limit the energy flowing into the hazardous area (Ex i) to prevent explosions caused by electric sparks or high temperatures, suitable for flammable and explosive environments such as Zone 0/1.

Signal conversion and transmission: Convert the NAMUR sensor signal on the hazardous side into a PNP switch signal on the safety side and stably transmit it to control systems such as PLC and DCS.

Wire breakage (LB) monitoring: Equipped with an internal LB monitoring function, it can detect on-site sensor line breakage faults. The fault status is fed back through LED indicator lights or output signals, facilitating rapid diagnosis.

Status indication: Equipped with LED indicator lights, it shows the normal/fault status of power supply and sensors, intuitively reflecting the system operation status.

Overcurrent/short-circuit protection: The output terminal is equipped with short-circuit protection to prevent downstream equipment failure and damage to the safety barrier, thereby enhancing system reliability.

Application scenarios

Petrochemical industry: In hazardous areas of oil refineries and chemical plants (such as reactors and pipelines), NAMUR proximity switches are connected to monitor the position of valves and the operating status of equipment, ensuring the safe transmission of signals to the control room.

Natural gas industry: It is used for signal isolation of liquid level and pressure sensors in natural gas storage tanks and transmission pipelines to prevent energy over-limit in dangerous areas and ensure production safety.

Pharmaceutical and coating production: In workshops where flammable substances such as organic solvents exist, it provides signal isolation for temperature, flow and other sensors, meeting explosion-proof and production hygiene requirements.

Mines and explosion-proof equipment: Suitable for environments with explosive dust such as coal mines and metal mines, it connects on-site sensors and control systems to achieve safety monitoring and equipment control.
