Product parameters

Module type: RX3i series digital output module, 16-point transistor output (NPN type).

Output voltage: DC 5V-24V (rated working voltage, compatible with common low-voltage DC loads).

Output current: The maximum output current at each point is 0.5A, and the maximum output current of the total module is 8A (please pay attention to the single-channel and total current limits to avoid overload).

Response time: Typical value ≤1ms (on/off), supporting high-speed control requirements (such as rapid start and stop of solenoid valves and indicator lights).

Isolation method: Channel group isolation (every 8 points in a group, isolated from the backplane bus optocoupler), isolation voltage 2500V AC (1 minute), strong anti-interference ability.

Status indication: Each output point is equipped with a red LED indicator light (which lights up when the output is connected), and there is a power/fault indicator light on the top of the module for easy diagnosis.

Power supply requirement: An external DC 24V load power supply is needed (the module itself takes power through the RX3i backplane bus for internal logic).

Environmental adaptability: Operating temperature -25 °C-70°C, storage temperature -40 °C-85°C, relative humidity 5%-95% (no condensation), protection grade IP20 (needs to be installed in a control cabinet).

Installation method: Compatible with RX3i standard racks, supports DIN rail installation, and can be flexibly combined with cpus and I/O modules of the same series.

Function

Low-voltage load drive: By outputting DC 5V-24V signals through NPN transistors, it can directly drive external low-voltage actuators, such as small solenoid valves, DC relay coils, indicator lights, and micro motors, etc.

High-speed response control: With a response time of ≤1ms, it can quickly execute PLC output instructions and is suitable for scenarios that require high-frequency on-off (such as the control of solenoid valves with high-frequency actions in assembly lines).

Isolation and overload protection: Group isolation design reduces the impact of external electrical interference on the PLC system; Single-channel current limiting can prevent module damage caused by abnormal loads (such as short circuits).

Intuitive status diagnosis: LED indicator lights provide real-time feedback on the output status of each channel and the power/fault conditions of the module, allowing for quick troubleshooting of wiring or load faults without the need for additional tools.

Application scenarios

Manufacturing production line: Drive small solenoid valves (such as pneumatic grippers, cylinder control), conveyor belt start-stop relays, and workstation indicator lights to achieve automated control of workpiece grasping, conveying, and status indication.

Precision equipment control: In electronic assembly equipment (such as surface mount technology (SMT) machines and dispensing machines), control low-voltage loads like micro motors and vacuum generators to ensure precise operation of the equipment.

Process industry auxiliary control: Drive small DC 24V valves (such as sampling valves, exhaust valves), alarm indicator lights, and cooperate with sensors to achieve rapid response when process parameters are abnormal (such as over-temperature alarm, low-pressure prompt).

Distributed control system: As part of the RX3i distributed I/O, it drives local low-voltage loads at remote sites (such as workshop area control), reducing the cost of long-distance wiring and signal attenuation.
