Product parameters

Basic configuration: 12 standard slots, supporting the installation of all Q series modules; There is no power module installation position. The CPU module needs to be installed on the main base

Compatibility and adaptability: Compatible with all MELSEC-Q series functional modules; Supports series connection with the main base/other expansion bases via Q series dedicated expansion cables, with a maximum of 3 expansion bases cascaded

Power consumption and power supply: The internal working current is only 0.18A, and it is fully powered from the main base, eliminating the need for independent power supply and simplifying the system wiring and power supply design

Installation method: Supports M4 screw fixation, and can be optionally equipped with a Q6DIN3 adapter for DIN rail installation, suitable for standard installation scenarios of industrial control cabinets

Environmental adaptation working temperature: 0-60℃; Storage temperature: -20-85℃ Relative humidity: 5%-95% RH

Anti-vibration: Double amplitude 0.075mm at 10-57Hz, acceleration 9.8m/s² at 57-150Hz;

Functions and Features

Medium and large-scale expansion capacity: 12 slots can meet the multi-module integration requirements of medium and large-scale systems, eliminating the need for frequent cascading expansion of the base, reducing signal transmission delay, and enhancing system stability.

Powerless and streamlined design: Relying on the main base for power supply, it eliminates the procurement cost and installation space of independent power modules, reduces power wiring links, lowers system failure points, and is suitable for scenarios where multiple modules are centrally laid out within the control cabinet.

Flexible cascading expansion: Supports mixed cascading with other expansion bases in the Q series. The total number of slots can be flexibly matched according to the number of project modules, adapting to the gradient expansion requirements of systems ranging from small and medium-sized to large.

Full-function module compatibility: It can be seamlessly integrated with Q series high-power consumption and high-precision special function modules, meeting the functional integration requirements of complex control scenarios.

Stable signal transmission: It adopts the Q series standard backplane bus design, with low data transmission delay between modules and small signal attenuation during cascade expansion, ensuring the synchronization and reliability of multi-module collaborative control.

Application scenarios

Centralized control for medium and large-scale production lines: It is suitable for medium and large-scale systems such as automotive parts processing lines, electronic equipment assembly lines, and chemical production lines, where a large number of I/O modules and multiple special functional modules need to be integrated. Twelve slots can be used to achieve centralized installation of functional modules.

Multi-process collaborative control project: It is used in scenarios that require the integration of multiple control functions, such as automated warehousing systems and intelligent production lines. It can integrate all functional modules at one time, simplifying the system architecture.

Large-scale equipment cluster control: A cluster control system compatible with the linkage of multiple devices. Through the Q612B, a large number of I/O interfaces and communication interfaces are expanded to achieve unified control and data interaction of multiple devices by a centralized PLC.

Upgrade and expansion of industrial control systems: When upgrading the original Q series small and medium-sized systems to medium and large-sized ones, the Q612B can be directly connected in series with the main base without replacing the main controller and core components, quickly increasing the installation capacity of system modules and reducing the upgrade cost.

High-demand industrial scenarios: Suitable for scenarios with high requirements for system stability and module integration, the 12-slot centralized layout facilitates later maintenance and fault detection, while reducing the potential fault risks brought by cascading links.
