Function
Support for multiple types of thermocouples
It supports J, K, T, E, R, S, B and N type thermocouples, covering a wide temperature range (-270 to 1820°C), and is suitable for various industrial temperature measurement requirements.
It can be configured as millivolt input (-100 to +100 mV) and supports low-level signal acquisition.
Cold End Compensation (CJC) :
It is equipped with an internal cold junction compensation function, which automatically corrects the influence of ambient temperature in thermocouple measurement through the sensor on the wiring arm, with an accuracy of ±0.5°C.
High precision and resolution:
The input resolution of the thermocouple reaches 0.1°C/°F, and the millivolt input resolution reaches 10 µV, ensuring precise measurement.
The accuracy is ±0.5°C to ±2°C (for thermocouples) or ±0.1% (millivolts), meeting the requirements of industrial applications.
Channel isolation: Provide 1000 VDC isolation between channels and input to the backplane to prevent signal interference and ground loops, and enhance system reliability.
Rapid data acquisition: The conversion time per channel is approximately 50 ms, and the complete scan of 8 channels takes about 400 ms, making it suitable for real-time temperature monitoring.
Overvoltage protection: Built-in ± 30VDC overvoltage protection to safeguard the module from accidental overload or incorrect wiring.
Modular design: Occupies 1 I/O rack slot, uses 1771-WB or 1771-WC wiring arms to simplify wiring, and supports continuous removal/insertion without disconnection (RIUP, power off required).
Compatible with PLC-5 processors (such as 1785-L80C) and power modules (such as 1771-P5).
Diagnosis and Configuration
Support the configuration of thermocouple type, range, filtering parameters and unit (°C/°F) through RSLogix 5 or Studio 5000 Logix Designer.
Provide status data (such as over-range, under-range, and disconnection detection) to facilitate fault diagnosis.
