ControlNet Bridging: Connect the 1768 CompactLogix controller to the ControlNet network to support distributed I/O, inter-controller communication, and HMI integration.

Non-redundant media operation: Supports non-redundant ControlNet networks through a single BNC connector, suitable for standard linear topologies.

Application support: Applicable to media redundancy, intrinsically safe, high-speed data transmission and redundant controller systems.

Data transmission: Supports planned data and unplanned data

Diagnostic function: Real-time communication and operational status feedback are provided through module and network status LED indicator lights, simplifying fault detection.

Configuration and programming: Configure through RSLogix 5000 or Studio 5000 Logix Designer software, and set network parameters in combination with RSNetWorx for ControlNet.

Installation flexibility: Supports DIN rail or panel installation, occupying a single slot of the 1768 CompactLogix rack. It requires reservating 90mm (3.54 inches) on the left and right sides and 105mm (4 inches) on the top and bottom of the rack.

Network compatibility: Compatible with Allen-Bradley's Flex I/O, POINT I/O, SLC, PLC-5 ControlNet module, ControlNet interface card and Encompass partner module.
