Function

High-precision temperature measurement

Supports multiple RTD sensors (platinum, nickel, copper) and direct resistance input, suitable for high-precision temperature or resistance measurement.

16-bit resolution (7.7-60 mΩ/bit, depending on the range), providing high-precision data acquisition.

It supports 3-wire and 4-wire RTD wiring. The 4-wire system can compensate for the resistance of the wire and improve the measurement accuracy.

Channel isolation

Each channel is independently isolated (channel-to-channel, channel-to-backplane), providing a 250V isolation voltage to reduce ground loops and electromagnetic noise interference and ensure signal integrity.

Flexible data processing

Support two data formats:

Integer mode: Offers multi-range selection, notch filtering and real-time sampling.

Floating-point mode: It includes integer mode functionality and adds temperature linearization, process alarm, rate alarm and digital filtering.

Support the selection of temperature units (Celsius or Fahrenheit), and the resistance value can be linearized into a temperature value through an RTD meter.

Diagnostic function:

Supports open-circuit detection (negative full-scale reading is reported within 5 seconds; if only end A is open-circuited, it is positive full-scale).

It provides process alarm, rate alarm, over-range/under-range detection and module health status monitoring.

The 10 Ω copper RTD supports offset compensation to reduce small-scale errors.

Network integration: Communicate with ControlLogix controllers via ControlNet or EtherNet/IP networks, supporting local or distributed I/O architectures.

Supports hot plugging (RIUP), which is convenient for maintenance and replacement.

Software configuration:

Configuration is carried out using Studio 5000 software, which supports independent setting of RTD type, range, filtering and alarm parameters for each channel.

Supports real-time sampling and timestamp functions, suitable for sequential event (SOE) applications.
