PROFIBUS Optical Link ModuleThe PROFIBUS OLM/G12 V4.0 provides a reliable interface between conventional PROFIBUS RS-485 networks and glass-fiber optical transmission systems. The module supports PROFIBUS transmission rates from 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s and PROFIBUS PA at 45.45 kbit/s. Its two optical interfaces provide redundant optical paths and are equipped with four BFOC connections.
The module supports glass fiber with 50/125 µm and 62.5/125 µm cores, with standard transmission distances up to approximately 3 km depending on fiber type and link conditions. It includes a signaling contact, measuring output, ring redundancy functionality, DIN-rail/wall mounting and industrial environmental protection.
