Photoelectric Proximity SensorThe SICK WTB4FP-21311120ZZZ is a miniature photoelectric proximity sensor designed for reliable non-contact object detection in industrial automation equipment. It uses background suppression technology to detect objects within an adjustable sensing range while minimizing the influence of the background. The sensor provides a maximum sensing range of 220 mm, with an adjustable switching threshold from 15 to 220 mm.
The sensor uses a visible red PinPoint LED with a 635 nm wavelength and provides a push-pull switching output that supports both PNP and NPN operation. With a response time of approximately 500 μs and a switching frequency of up to 1,000 Hz, it is suitable for high-speed detection tasks. The 10–30 V DC supply range and compact M8 connector make it easy to integrate into industrial control systems.
Its compact VISTAL® plastic housing measures only 16 × 40.1 × 12.1 mm and provides IP66/IP67 protection. The sensor is designed for demanding industrial environments with an operating temperature range of -40 to +60 °C, making it suitable for packaging, assembly, conveyor, material-handling, and general machine automation applications.
