Ultrasonic SensorThe BALLUFF BUS003P is a BUS M30M1 series ultrasonic sensor designed for reliable object detection and distance measurement in industrial automation. It uses ultrasonic technology to detect objects independently of their color, transparency, and surface characteristics, making it suitable for applications where optical sensors may be less effective. The sensor provides a 350–5000 mm measurement range and a rated operating distance of 3400 mm.
The sensor features a programmable PNP switching output with normally open and normally closed functions. Its 9–30 V DC supply, 200 mA maximum output current, and M12x1 5-pin connector allow straightforward integration with PLC and industrial control systems. Teach-in, synchronization, multiplex operation, filtering, temperature compensation, and adjustable switching distances provide flexible configuration for different detection requirements.
The Ø47.5 mm cylindrical housing is made of nickel-plated brass with PBT/TPU components and provides IP67 protection. With an operating temperature range of -25 to +70 °C and a switching frequency of 4 Hz, the BUS003P is suitable for material handling, level detection, positioning, presence detection, and other industrial automation applications.
