November 06, 2025Rockwell Automation Expands Global Presence with Multiple New Initiatives, Strengthening Commitment to Chinese Market

The U.S. industrial automation giant is driving smart manufacturing upgrades worldwide while viewing the Chinese market as a key pillar of its global strategy.
Rockwell Automation has recently announced multiple new developments across various sectors. From showcasing its new control platform at Europe’s SPS 2025 exhibition to launching autonomous mobile robot production lines in the U.S., and deepening cooperation in the Chinese market, the industrial automation leader is fully committed to advancing the digital and intelligent transformation of global manufacturing.
01 European Market Strategy
At the upcoming SPS 2025 exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany later this month, Rockwell Automation will showcase its **latest industrial automation solutions** under the theme "Shaping the Future of Industrial Operations."
The company plans to introduce its ControlLogix® 5590 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) at the event, designed to help manufacturers streamline operations and securely scale smart systems.
Vincenzo Monaco, Managing Director of Rockwell Automation for the DACH region, stated, "Across the DACH region, manufacturers are rapidly adopting smart technologies to maintain competitiveness."
Other highlights at the exhibition will include the PointMax™ I/O flexible remote input/output system, FactoryTalk® Analytics™ LogixAI® industrial artificial intelligence solutions, and Emulate3D® digital twin technology.
02 U.S. Production Facility Developments
In the North American market, Rockwell Automation has officially commenced production at its newly built 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at its Milwaukee headquarters.
The plant is assembling “OTTO 600 and OTTO 1200 Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)”, designed to transport heavy materials in busy factory floors and confined spaces.
These autonomous mobile robots help manufacturers enhance safety, improve transition times, and minimize product damage by reducing reliance on manually operated forklifts.
This development follows Rockwell's acquisition of Clearpath Robotics and its industrial division, OTTO Motors, several years ago.
03 Commitment to Chinese Market
During the China International Import Expo, Shi An, President of Rockwell Automation (China) Co., Ltd., emphasized the importance of the Chinese market to the company's global strategy.
"China has long been a crucial component of our global business strategy," Shi An stated.
He praised China's focus on cultivating and expanding new growth drivers in areas such as digitalization, green development, and smart manufacturing, noting that this aligns closely with Rockwell Automation's vision and strategy.
China's comprehensive industrial chain presents a significant strategic opportunity for Rockwell Automation.
04 Global Project Collaboration
Rockwell Automation's partnership with a Japanese gas company represents another milestone in its European modernization projects.
Rockwell Automation is assisting the Japanese gas company in a comprehensive corporate-wide modernization effort across multiple European sites, replacing traditional Rockwell controllers with modern ControlLogix programmable logic controllers.
Rodrigo Riera, Vice President of Rockwell Automation's Southern Region EMEA, commented, "Deploying modern process control modules has opened new opportunities for the Japanese gas company."
This modernization initiative covers the company's air separation unit installations at multiple sites across Europe.
05 Software Ecosystem Innovation
On the software front, Rockwell has released “FactoryTalk® Design Workbench”, a free design software for micro-control systems.
The software provides a unified programming, configuration, and troubleshooting workspace for Micro800 controllers, offering a consistent development approach for machine builders and manufacturers working with compact standalone systems.
Through its annual update program, Rockwell Automation plans to extend support beyond Micro800 controllers in future versions.
“Rockwell Automation's global expansion” reflects the future landscape of smart manufacturing: In North America, autonomous mobile robots are rolling off production lines in Milwaukee; in Europe, a new generation control platform is set to debut at SPS 2025; while in Asia, China's comprehensive industrial chain and digital transformation are deeply aligning with the automation giant's strategy.
As industrial artificial intelligence and digital twin technologies continue to push the boundaries of what's possible, Rockwell Automation is actively building a more connected, intelligent, and efficient industrial future.
