Temperature-Sensing Analog InputThe Allen-Bradley 1756-IRT8I ControlLogix temperature-sensing analog input module provides eight individually configurable isolated input channels for connecting RTDs, resistance sensors, thermocouples and millivolt devices.
Each channel can be configured independently, allowing different sensor types to be used within the same module. The module supports RTD measurements using both 3-wire and 4-wire configurations and provides a nominal 24-bit data resolution for high-resolution temperature measurement.
The module uses a 36-pin removable terminal block interface, with compatible terminal blocks including 1756-TBCH and 1756-TBS6H. The module also incorporates cold-junction compensation for thermocouple applications.
Rockwell currently lists the 1756-IRT8I as Active, so it should not be classified as discontinued.
