The Telemecanique XSA-V11373 is a cylindrical inductive proximity sensor from the XSA series, specifically engineered for rotation monitoring applications. Unlike a conventional proximity sensor used simply for object detection, this model incorporates frequency-based rotation monitoring and is intended to detect the passage of metallic targets on rotating shafts, wheels, gears or other moving machine components. Its specified operating range is 6–150 impulses/minute, making it particularly suitable for low-speed rotation monitoring.

The sensor has a 10 mm nominal sensing distance and can be flush-mounted in metal. It uses a PNP, normally closed, 3-wire DC output, operates from 12–48 V DC, and can switch loads up to 200 mA with overload and short-circuit protection. The device also includes a built-in start-up delay of approximately 9 seconds ±20% + 1/Fr, allowing rotating machinery to reach operating speed before the monitoring function becomes active.

The XSA-V11373 has an M30 × 1.5 threaded cylindrical body, approximately 81 mm overall length, a 2 m pre-cabled connection, and IP67 environmental protection. It is designed for industrial machinery where reliable monitoring of shaft rotation, conveyor movement, fan rotation or other mechanical motion is required.
