It is compatible with Modicon M340, Modicon M580 and X80 modules and provides the mechanical and electrical infrastructure for mounting power supplies, processors, I/O and communication modules.

Ethernet / X-Bus BackplaneThe BMEXBP1200 provides 12 module slots, including 8 slots with both Ethernet and X-Bus connectivity and 4 slots supporting X-Bus modules. It also includes one power-supply slot and one X-Bus expansion connector for rack expansion.
The backplane is designed for industrial control cabinets and supports a stable in-rack mounting arrangement. Schneider Electric also specifies hot-swapping capability for most compatible I/O modules.
