Eaton MTL MTL7796+/- Intrinsically Safe Zener Barrier for Vibration Probes

The MTL7796 is a passive intrinsically safe interface barrier designed to limit voltage and current transferred from the safe area into a hazardous area. It uses Zener-diode and resistor protection to provide electrical isolation/protection for hazardous-area instrumentation.

The MTL7796+ is intended for positive-polarity systems, while MTL7796- is intended for negative-polarity systems. The product is particularly associated with 3-wire vibration probes used in machinery vibration monitoring systems.
