Tachometer ModuleThe 3500/50M Tachometer Module provides continuous rotational-speed monitoring for critical rotating machinery. It accepts up to two transducer inputs and can be configured for speed monitoring, speed-band alarming, zero-speed detection, rotor acceleration monitoring, or reverse-rotation detection.
The module can also condition Keyphasor® signals for use by other monitors in the 3500 rack, reducing the need for a separate Keyphasor module in applicable configurations. It communicates with the 3500 rack through the system backplane and provides buffered transducer and 4–20 mA recorder outputs through the applicable I/O module.
Important: Bently Nevada states that the 3500/50M is not designed as an overspeed detection device.
